Not sure what other folks shoot and how they do it. But then I don't feel the need to apply much sharpening to Fuji files. Personally I haven't had any issues with these worms.

So if your latest/greatest PC with Adobe LR can't do it, I would be blaming Adobe SW engineers more than anything else. I haven't used Fuji cameras for processing my raw files but from what I have heard, it works pretty good and is really fast in processing raw files. Man, this is photography forum, not everyone is sw eng in high tech company from the valley. I've given up explaining to someone who's missing the basic technical understanding of what's going on. Īlso if you are using an older version of Lightroom I suggest you update to 7.3 as there have been fixes to slow export etc over last few updates Also some cheap chinese usb cords can be a probem howver that is more of a connection problem where the computer cant sense the camera than anything else. Im not sure here because Im not 100% sure how the I/O data flow works from Computer to Camera using either usb 2 for xt-20 or usb3 for xt2. The slowest speeds Ib=ve seen with those is around a couple of seconds max so there is something definately wrong there I think in the way you are processing?.Are you using USB 3 or USB 2 to connect to camera and not somehow using an older usb 1 port on the computer your using? because that may infact create a slowdown. You can see this from when they click convert to when the JPG thun=mbnail appears. If you have a look at all the youtube videos of people reviewing Fuji Raw studio none of them are that long either. Regarding the 20 secs you say the Fuji RAw conversion took using the Fuji Studio software. So to a certain extent that precludes using brush tools etc in the RAW edit in Lightroom because when it goes to get converted these extra edits will most likely make the conversion time longer for the Lightroom conversion vs Fuji and that will not give a good comparison result Just make sure you apply similar in Lightroom before exporting thats all. In addition to above you can do a comparison with sharpening etc etc applied. FYI my new thumbnail for JPG appears almost instantaneous from time I click "convert" JPG should appear as thumbnail under main edit screen. Keep same as default which should also make it similar to Lightroom JPG export defaultĦ. No sharpening options etc in export etcĤ.

Export file as a full res JPG to local drive. The best way of doing a pure RAW to JPG conversion test for an eggs against eggs comparisonġ. ( see here for Fuji test machine details etc u …e/fujifilm-x-raw-studio-2 That is how I calculate the x times and Im sure is the way Fuji conducted their benchmark testing where they got 20x speed increase. Over the testing I did I got between 10x to 20 times Lightroom speed depending on what edits I did to RAW before converting to JPG. This test comparison is approx 12x faster than lightroom. In my case I had a Fyji avg processing time of 1/2 sec vs Lightroom 6 secs. Lightroom 7.3 :- The processing time is calculated from when I click "export " until the export progress bar in Lightroom shows 100% completed
