For beginners there are plenty of ‘assists’ that can be turned on to make life a little easier and a little closer to the arcade, while the more confident among you can deselect all of them and attempt races. Persevere, however, and you’ll soon find the thrill of overtaking the crowds of runners and accelerating along the straights extremely rewarding. Make no mistake, this is a cutthroat title with a steep learning curve. Likewise, you will end up hating the sand which slows down the speed at the edge of the track! Luckily there is the option to bend the time and go back after getting off your bike so you can make another attempt – Braid has a lot to answer!
